Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday forecast isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds speed reaching 30-50 kmph in Odisha.
A yellow warning has been issued for the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore and Bhadrak till 8.30 on Tuesday. Dry weather conditions may prevail across the state thereafter.
With the trough from Bihar to south Odisha, now running from Bihar to Marathwada across Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha, the weather agency has further predicted a gradual rise in the day temperature by 2-3 degrees after two days. The mercury may soar to 38°C in Bhubaneswar by March 12, which recorded 33.7°C in the last 24 hours, while Titlagarh may boil at 40°C.
