Mumbai: Actress Alia Bhatt took to social media to unveil the first-look poster of her most-anticipated film ‘Alpha’.
She also confirmed that the spy thriller will be released in theatres on July 10.
Alia was last seen on the silver screen in ‘Jigra’, which hit theatres in October 2024.
Alia has remained in the spotlight, but the long gap has left fans eagerly waiting for her next project.
Also starring Sharvari Wagh, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in key roles, ‘Alpha’ recently made headlines amid rumours that it might be released directly on digital platforms.
However, Alia’s announcement of theatrical release has put such speculation to rest.
The film is the seventh instalment in the YRF Spy Universe, following blockbuster titles like ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘War’ and ‘Pathaan’. What makes ‘Alpha’ particularly significant is that it will be the first female-led film in the franchise.
In the newly-released poster, Alia’s intense avatar is revealed through the Greek symbol of alpha.
The image shows her bruised and battle-worn, with a deep cut on her shoulder, a bruise on her lip and another above her eyebrow.
Yet, her fierce eyes, filled with determination and fury, are a major highlight and hint at the high-octane action the film promises.
Fans couldn’t contain their excitement.
