Bhubaneswar: A youth died after allegedly setting himself on fire at Rajmahal Square in Bhubaneswar on Friday.
According to sources, he doused his body with petrol and set himself ablaze in a suspected suicide attempt. Passersby and police personnel quickly intervened and rushed him to Capital Hospital for emergency treatment. He, however, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as a resident of Kedarpalli in the city.
Police have seized the body and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances and possible reasons behind the incident. Further details are awaited.
