Bhubaneswar: The 61st edition of Femina Miss India pageant reached a glittering climax on April 18 at KIIT University in Bhubaneswar, where Sadhvi Satish Sail from Goa was crowned Femina Miss India World 2026.
The event, presented by KIIT and co-powered by Rajnigandha Pearls, celebrated excellence, grace and talent as winners were crowned across top titles.
Sadhvi Satish Sail, representing Goa, emerged victorious among winners of 30 state and union territory, who competed in the grand finale. She was crowned by her predecessor, Nikita Porwal (Femina Miss India World 2024 from Madhya Pradesh), in an emotional moment. An elated Sail described the win as “surreal,” expressing gratitude for the opportunity and her determination to make the nation proud on the international stage. Calling her fellow participants “winners”, she said the journey was about collective growth and friendship. She will now represent India at the 75th Miss World pageant.
Rajnandini Pawar from Maharashtra secured the title of 1st Runner-Up with a strong and impressive performance throughout the competition. Sree Advaita G, representing Jammu & Kashmir, was named 2nd Runner-Up.
The grand finale, hosted at KIIT University, featured a star-studded lineup including hosts and performers such as Maniesh Paul, Sarah-Jane Dias, Ishaan Khatter, Jubin Nautiyal, Lauren Gottlieb, and Saswat Joshi. Prior to the finale, the top 30 contestants participated in enriching activities, including visits to Sun Temple in Konark, Chandrabhaga Beach, and cultural engagements at KISS, where they received a heartfelt welcome from thousands of children.
This was the first time that the prestigious national event was held in Odisha.
KIIT founder Achyuta Samanta extended congratulations to the winners, highlighting the pride in hosting the pageant on the campus.
