Mumbai: An old interview featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Lady Gaga has resurfaced on Reddit, reigniting discussion online.
The viral clip shows Shah Rukh repeatedly offering his watch to the singer despite her declining, with many social media users describing the interaction as ‘awkward’ and ‘cringe.’
Sharing the clip on Reddit, a user captioned it as, “SRK really made Lady Gaga uncomfortable.”
The clip features a candid promotional interaction between the two stars and begins with an audience member asking Gaga if she would ever consider dating Shah Rukh.
To this, Gaga replied “Would I like to date you? Yes. You’re married? Absolutely not.”
Soon, Shah Rukh quipped, “Who told her about this marriage thing of mine here?”
Gaga clarifies, “I am a good girl… I’m a one-guy girl. And I’m very old-fashioned in that way. So absolutely no way”.
SRK reacts, “See, you’ve dashed my hopes to the ground.”
As the conversation progresses, Shah Rukh Khan offers his wristwatch to Lady Gaga as a gift.
SRK says, “I’m going to give you my watch.”
Gaga immediately refuses, saying, “No, no. You’re not going to give me. No, I don’t want your watch. Please, please, please.”
Even after Gaga repeatedly declined, Shah Rukh continued to encourage her to accept the watch, leaning closer to her during the conversation.
Gaga says, “No… I don’t want it.”
She then suggests, “Give it to a fan.”
Shah Rukh quips, “So I give it to you, and you give it to a fan.”
Earlier in the interaction, speaking about Shah Rukh’s courteous behaviour backstage, Gaga said, “He was trying to hold my coffee for me backstage. He was being so polite. And he’s this huge star. I’m so uncomfortable.”
The clip has since gone viral on Reddit, sparking a debate among users.
One user commented, “Can’t watch the video towards the end. So cringe.”
Another wrote, “Why would he behave this way?”
One added, “This was embarrassing to watch.”
The interview was recorded during Lady Gaga’s visit to India in 2011.

On the work front, Shah Rukh will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s action thriller ‘King’ which also stars Suhana Khan and Deepika Padukone in key roles.
The film is slated to release in December 2026.
