Hyderabad: Vijay’s much-awaited final film, ‘Jana Nayagan’, could be heading for an unexpected box-office clash with his son Jason Sanjay’s debut film, ‘Sigma’.
Reports suggest that both films are eyeing the same release window, setting the stage for a rare father-versus-son showdown.
While neither team has officially confirmed the dates, the possibility has already sparked excitement among fans.
It was ticketing platform District which announced a release date. “34 years, 68 Films, 68 First days, all leading up to one last First day. July 24th – Jananayagan on the Big Screen. District set to launch tickets soon, stay tuned, set your reminders.”

The ticketing platform also revealed the film’s synopsis. “It follows an ordinary man who unexpectedly becomes a symbol of resistance after standing up against a local injustice. As his actions inspire those around him, he finds himself under growing pressure from powerful forces determined to stop him.”

Apparently a remake of Anil Ravipudi’s ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’, ‘Jana Nayagan’ also stars Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde in lead roles.
Meanwhile, Jason’s debut directorial, ‘Sigma’, produced by Lyca Productions is scheduled to be released on July 31.
However, fresh reports suggest the film’s release will be pushed to August to make way for ‘Jana Nayagan’.
