New Delhi: He was the face of the Gen-Z movement that forced the Central government to act tough.
Every demand of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) was accepted on Saturday, including the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET-UG paper leak.
For Abhijeet Dipke, who ‘founded’ the satirical party online, it was indeed a new dawn.
“I could sleep well and wake up in my bedroom without thinking about what to do next or what will happen till evening… There is no panic,” a relaxed Dipke said in a video message on Sunday morning.
“What transpired in the last 37 days was really, really difficult.. it was not easy.. not just for me but for all of our team,” Dipke said, summing up the weeks of protest at Jantar Mantar that culminated in ‘victory’ for the mass youth movement.
The 30-year-old from Maharashtra thanked “each and every supporter of the Cockroach Janta Party spread across India.”
He also had a word of caution for them.
“This is just the beginning… The Cockroach Janata Party has a long way to go.. and for sure we will go a long way,” Dipke said.
He also thanked the critics who doubted the movement.
“Had they not criticised us and raised the questions, we wouldn’t have been able to improve ourselves.”
