Mumbai: After months of anticipation, ‘Bigg Boss 20’ is finally set to return, marking two decades of the popular reality show with a brand-new season and a fresh twist.
On August 4, host Salman Khan unveiled the first teaser, which also confirmed the show’s premiere date.
The promo opens with the superstar making a grand entry on a majestic horse before delivering a cryptic line that has already set social media abuzz.
“Joh Karan Arjun mein hua tha, woh hoga ab Bigg Boss mein… Thathastu!” Salman says in the teaser.
The promo also features a subtle visual clue, hinting that there’s more to the story than meets the eye and leaving viewers eager to decode the season’s biggest twist.
Speaking about the upcoming season, Salman said, “Every season of Bigg Boss brings a fresh game, new dynamics and unexpected twists. But this season, there’s a mystery at the heart of it that makes it unlike anything we’ve seen before. The first hint is already out there—you just have to look at it twice. The teaser is just the beginning, and I can’t wait for audiences to start piecing the clues together when Bigg Boss Hindi Season 20 begins.”
The teaser has already sparked several fan theories online.
Reacting to the promo, one X user suggested that the season could have a Khatron Ke Khiladi 15-style theme, writing, “Khatron wali theme lg rhi (Feels like Khatron Ke Khiladi theme).”
Another user speculated, “I think they are bringing old contestants again,” while a third wrote, “Tagline is ex contestants will be part.”
Among the celebrities rumoured to be joining ‘Bigg Boss 20’ are Nia Sharma, Arjun Bijlani, Karan Patel and Jannat Zubair.
The previous season saw television actor Gaurav Khanna lift the ‘Bigg Boss 19’ trophy. Best known for playing Anuj Kapadia in ‘Anupamaa’, he took home the ₹50 lakh cash prize, while Farhana Bhatt finished as the first runner-up.
‘Bigg Boss 20’ is set to premiere on September 6. The reality show will stream on JioHotstar and air on Colors.
