Bhubaneswar: Given the grave flood situation in Odisha, three IAS officers have been given charge of overall supervision of relief and restoration measures in Odisha’s flood-affected districts of Bhadrak, Baleshwar and Jajpur.
The state government’s General Administration and Public Grievance Department issued the order on Sunday.
Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) MD Sudhanshu Mohan Samal, a 2010-batch IAS officer, has been deployed for overall supervision of flood management in Bhadrak district.
Flood management, including relief and restoration work, in Baleshwar district will be supervised by Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation (OSCSC) MD K Sudarshan Chakravarthy, a 2011-batch IAS officer.
Excise Commissioner P Anvesha Reddy, a 2017-batch IAS officer, has been sent to supervise flood management in Jajpur district.
The three IAS officers have been asked to proceed to the respective districts and remain stationed there for effective monitoring and supervision of flood management in close coordination with the district administration, the General Administration Department stated.
