Mumbai: The controversy surrounding Yash and Geetu Mohandas’ ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ has intensified, with another YouTuber claiming to have received a legal notice over his review of the film.
Following the film’s release, YouTuber Suraj Kumar was the first to claim that he had received a legal notice in connection with the court order obtained by the makers. Now, YouTuber Prashanth Rangaswamy has made a similar claim.
On Thursday, Suraj shared a screenshot of an email he allegedly received from Bengaluru-based Aiplex Software Private Limited.
The email included an authorisation letter from the makers of ‘Toxic’, allowing the company to enforce the court’s order on their behalf.
Rangaswamy, who reviewed the film in a ‘Murugal Roast’, claimed that he too received a legal notice over his review.
“Got legal notice from @TheNameIsYash and @KvnProductions for #Toxic review. I thought he is all macho in real life as well. Looks like he is just another rich and influential person!” Prashanth wrote on X, taking a dig at Yash.

Unlike Suraj, who shared a screenshot of the legal notice he claimed to have received, Rangaswamy did not post any document supporting his allegation.
Before ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ released in theatres on Wednesday, its makers approached a Bengaluru court seeking protection against allegedly false or defamatory content related to the film.
The court subsequently granted a temporary interim injunction restraining the circulation of such content concerning ‘Toxic’.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash through KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations LLP, respectively, ‘Toxic’ stars Yash in dual roles.
The film also features Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.
