Mumbai: Kiara Advani and Yash’s bold scenes in ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ have sparked discussion online, with some social media users dragging Kiara’s husband, Sidharth Malhotra, into the conversation.
Several users posted misogynistic remarks targeting Sidharth over Kiara’s intimate scenes with Yash in the film.
Sidharth recently shared an advertisement reel on social media, but the comments section soon took an unexpected turn.
Several users flooded the post with GIFs featuring Yash and Kiara from ‘Toxic’.
Some users went a step further, trolling Sidharth over Kiara’s bold scenes with Yash in the film.
Comments such as “Teri biwi Yash ke saath hai dekh le” and “Aap kaise husband ho, yeh movie kaise banane diya?” appeared under his reel.
One user wrote, “Divorce is the only solution.”
Another commented, “Don’t worry, this is AI.”
One person wrote, “Koi Yash ko dhoond ke isko dedo,” while another said, “Meri humdardi tumhare saath hai.”
A comment also read, “Sidharth wants justice.”
The comments section also featured several offensive remarks about Kiara’s pregnancy during the film’s shoot.

A similar reaction was seen when the song ‘Tabaahi’ was released.
Some social media users pointed to what they described as a larger patriarchal mindset, where women are often subjected to greater scrutiny and objectification, with their on-screen choices sometimes being linked to their partner’s honour or dignity.
By comparison, bold scenes involving male actors are often viewed as more acceptable.
The trolling also highlights how some fans struggle to separate reel life from real life, treating on-screen relationships as though they reflect the actors’ personal lives.
Similar comments were also posted under Sidharth’s birthday post for Kiara, although fans of the couple were quick to defend them.
One user wrote, “He has always come across as someone really secure, who understands what his wife does is her work and has always praised her for setting aside her professional life and fame power away from their personal lives.”
Another commented, “…I saw the typical Rocky Bhai comments; it was disgusting and annoying. What’s sad is it’s only Kiara who’s getting shamed. Why should it always be like that? If they are making Kiara look bad just because she is married and has a kid, shouldn’t the same be applied to Yash too, who is also married and has kids? Or is it that logic doesn’t apply when it comes to shaming a woman?”
