Mumbai: Speculation about the cast of ‘Race 4’ has been doing the rounds, with reports suggesting that Aamir Khan could join the popular action franchise.
Producer Ramesh Taurani has now addressed the rumours and clarified that the cast of the upcoming film has not been finalised yet.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Taurani said, “We would like to clarify that the cast of Race 4 has not yet been finalized. We sincerely request the media and social media pages to refrain from speculation and from engaging with or circulating any unverified or false news regarding the cast. Once the cast is finalized, we will make an official announcement from our end.”

This is not the first time that speculation has surrounded the casting of the action thriller.
Earlier in January, there were reports that Akshaye Khanna, whose character died in Race, could return for ‘Race 4’.
However, Taurani clarified, “No, we have not approached Akshaye. There was no scope at all.”
Asked if the story could be reworked to bring his character back, the filmmaker said there were no such plans.
“There is no thought about getting him. His character gets into an accident in the first movie, his track ended there, and it will remain at that,” he said.
Sidharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff have also been linked to the project, with reports suggesting that they have heard the script. However, neither actor’s involvement has been officially confirmed.
