Bhadrak: A man allegedly killed his son with a sharp weapon following a family dispute in Chunida area of Odisha’s0 Bhadrak district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Bikash Sahu, son of Rabi Sahu.
The incident took place following a heated argument between the father and son in the morning in their house located under the jurisdiction of Bhadrak Rural Police Station. Following the altercation, Rabi allegedly locked his daughter-in-law inside the house and later attacked Bikash with a knife.
Bikash, who sustained critical injuries in the attack, was rushed to a hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead during treatment.
There are also allegations that Rabi had earlier killed his first wife.
On receiving information about the incident, a police team reached the spot and launched an investigation. The accused was detained for questioning.
