Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm activity along with gusty winds is likely to continue in several parts of Odisha over the next three days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday.
The weather agency has issued yellow warning for different districts for this period.
In a weather bulletin, the IMD has issued a yellow warning of thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty surface wind with speed reaching up to 30-40 kmph for the districts of Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghapur, Kataka, Sundaragada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagada till the morning of Wednesday.
On September 30-October 1, the same warning of thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind has been issue for Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghapur, Kataka, Sundaragada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagada districts.
On October 1-2, the IMD has issued a similar yellow warning of thunderstorm and gusty surface wind for Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghapur, Kataka, Sundaragada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagada districts.
This apart, light to moderate rain is likely to occur in several parts of the state over the next one week.
