Koraput: A warder posted at Odisha’s Koraput Jail was absent from duty for about a fortnight.
His decomposed body was recovered from his official quarters after neighbours alerted police about a foul smell emanating from the premises.

The deceased, identified as Damodar Tripathy, was a native of Kelanagar in Jeypore.
On reaching the Tripathy’s residence, police broke open the door and found his decomposed body inside.
Police have initiated an investigation into Tripathy’s death. The cause of death is likely to be ascertained after the autopsy report is available.
