Bhubaneswar: Revellers are set to throng multiple Durga Puja pandals in different parts of Bhubaneswar from Sasthi on and the numbers will be rising from Mahashtami on Sunday.
A whopping 195 pandals have been set up in the state capital and the deity is adorned with gold and silver jewellery in at least 22 of these. Special deployment has been made at major puja pandals – Nayapalli, Saheed Nagar, Rasulgarh, Jharpada, Old Station Bazaar, Baramunda, Kataka Road, Ravi Talkies, Lingaraj, Ganga Nagar, Chandrasekharpur, Infocity and Nandankanan.
Additional women police personnel were also deployed Nayapalli, Saheed Nagar, Jharpada, Rasulgarh and Palasuni puja pandals to ensure women devotees do not face any inconvenience during Ashtami rituals this morning.
Durga Puja pandals are showcasing a diverse array of themes, inspired by Hawa Mahal in Rajasthan to Vatican City Palace and Dubai City Skyline.
