Mumbai: Actress Janhvi Kapoor has opened up about a fallout with filmmaker Karan Johar, revealing that she gained weight during the period when the two stopped talking.
The revelation came in the latest promo of ‘Koffee With Karan 9’, featuring Janhvi and Varun Dhawan, which offers a glimpse into their candid conversation with the host.
Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan are set to grace the Koffee couch in an upcoming episode of the celebrity chat show.
In the newly released promo, Varun reveals that Karan had stopped speaking to both him and Janhvi.
Adding to Varun’s revelation, Karan remarks, “I was hurt with both of you.”
Reacting to his statement, Janhvi says, “I gained weight when we stopped talking.”
Varun then teases Karan over his dramatic reaction, saying, “Karan, you said very dramatic shit. You became Bachchan from K3G: ‘Mein bada hoon, haq hai mera.’”
The promo also features a surprise appearance by Arjun Kapoor, leaving both Varun and Janhvi taken aback.
The trio are subsequently seen discussing Ravi Kishan’s viral ‘Money follows my brother’ meme with Karan.

According to an earlier News18 report, Salman Khan was set to return to the show for its premiere episode.
Sources had also informed the publication that Shah Rukh Khan was in talks to appear in the show’s final season.
“Karan and his team are trying to get SRK for the last episode of the season, which also marks the grand finale of this long-running chat show,” a source told News18.
The source further said, “The team is still following up with him. But Karan is confident that he’ll be able to pull this off. As for Aryan, his appearance on the show depends on his father. If Shah Rukh graces the couch, Aryan will join him, as he wouldn’t want to make his debut on Koffee With Karan with anyone else.”
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Vicky Kaushal and Diljit Dosanjh could share the couch in an upcoming episode.
“Diljit and Vicky share a great rapport, and their episode promises to be one of the season’s most entertaining conversations,” a source was quoted as saying by Filmfare.
If the reported pairing materialises, viewers could see the two stars bring their humour and camaraderie to the show.
However, their appearance has not been officially confirmed by the makers.
