Kendrapada: In a shocking incident, headless body of an unidentified woman was found on the embankment of the Luna River in Odisha’s Kendrapada district on Friday.
The body was spotted by residents of Maharakuula village under Kudanagari police station limit. Sippers were also found lying near the body, while bloodstains could be noticed on the embankment. However, no other belongings or clues have been recovered so far.
After receiving information about the incident, a team from from Kudanagari police station reached the spot and launched an investigation.
The body was subsequently sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death and gather further details.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Efforts are on to ascertain the identity of the woman. Further details are awaited.
