Mumbai: Salman Khan surprised fans by dropping a new song, ‘Teri Sexy Beauty’, from his upcoming film ‘Maatrubhumi’ at 5 am on Wednesday.
The peppy, romantic track caught listeners off guard, with many expressing surprise over its upbeat vibe, given that the film is a war drama.
Taking to Instagram early Wednesday, Salman shared a teaser of the song, accompanying it with a witty caption that played on the idea of an early-morning flight and the track’s lyrics.
“Departure time 5:12 am…. Flight on time, 2 pegs down taking off with my sexy beauty… pata nahi kahaan mai land karoon (don’t know where I will land),” Salman wrote, adding the hashtag #TeriSexyBeauty Out Now.
He also directed fans to the link in his Instagram bio to watch the full song on YouTube.
Composed by Himesh Reshammiya, the track features vocals by Salman and Muskaan, with Sajid Khan contributing additional vocals and writing the lyrics.
The music video features Salman alongside Chitrangada Singh, who plays the female lead in Maatrubhumi.
The song’s YouTube description reads, “Love, masti and a little madness take centre stage in Teri Sexy Beauty, this fun-filled track brings a refreshing dose of romance, playful chemistry and carefree moments, celebrating the lighter side of love.”
However, the track’s quirky, upbeat style prompted questions from fans about how it fits into Maatrubhumi, a war drama with a tragic storyline.
“Fun song but what is it doing in that film,” wrote one confused fan.
“Did he post it by mistake or is it just Salman being Salman?” another asked.
A third fan commented, “Salman bhai matches my sleep cycle.”

Produced by Salma Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films, ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace’ is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and features Chitrangada Singh in a pivotal role.
The film was initially titled Battle of Galwan and was based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops.
It was renamed earlier this year, with reports suggesting that references to China were removed following reshoots.
Initially scheduled for an April release, the film was subsequently postponed. The makers also dismissed reports that it had been shelved. No new release date has been announced.
