Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 340 Assistant Section Officers (ASOs) in the state Secretariat Service Cadre under the Home Department.
As per the notification, job aspirants can submit their online applications between November 9 and 30. The link for registration and submission of online application will be made available from November 9.
Of the total posts, 114 (around 33 per cent) have been reserved for woman candidates. “A total of 144 posts are for UR category while 38 vacancies are reserved for SEBC category, 81 for SC category and 77 for ST category,” OPSC said in the notification.
This apart, 25 posts are reserved for person with disabilities, 19 posts for ex-servicemen and three posts for sports persons.
Eligible candidates in age group of 21 and 42 years can submit their applications for the ASO posts.
A candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
The selection of candidates for the ASO posts will be made on the basis of a written examination and skill test.
The written examination is scheduled to be held on January 17, 2027. The detailed schedule and centre of examination will be notified later.
