Jeypore: Lawyer Arati Mishra, who had been missing for the last 32 days, returned home on Sunday much to the delight of her family members.

Her daughter, son and husband and other family members were overwhelmed to see her.

“I was not able to take the disturbance in my family. My son had met with an accident, following which, I went into depression. I wanted to leave my family and the world. That is why I wrote a suicidal note and left home. I had been staying in a mutt in Puri since then,” said Arati to media.

According to sources, Arati left for Bhubaneswar on July 8. She had told her family members that she was going to Bhuabneswar for dental check-up. Her husband saw her off at the railway station. But she did not reach Bhubaneswar.

Since she had left her cellphone behind, her family could not reach her.

Arati’s husband Manoj Mishra later lodged a missing complaint with Jeypore Town Police. A team of police was also formed to look for her.

Meanwhile, her family members found a four-page suicide note from her room. “I do not want to live anymore. My children are now your responsibility. Please forgive me for taking the extreme step,” wrote Arati in the suicide note.

Surprisingly, she returned home after 32 days.

“I changed my mind after having a darshan of Lord Jagannath in Puri. I found peace there. With the blessing of Lord Jagannath, I want to live with my family again,” said the lawyer.

Arati said it was her love for her family that stopped her from taking the extreme step.

“I  had a feelings that my mother is with me. I was missing her a lot. When she came, I hugged her tightly and got the ultimate peace,” said Arati’s daughter.
