Quad cameras are the new in-thing for smartphones. First Realme 5, and now Oppo is bringing in its Reno 2 – the 2nd gen Reno series which will have a quad-rear camer along with 20X zoom. The previous generation Reno had 10X zoom.
It is expected that there will be a Reno 2 Pro version as well. The Reno 2 will have a shark fin selfie seen on the original Reno Series.
It is unclear whether the Reno 2 will have a 5X optical zoom with 20X digital zoom or not. The Huawei P30 Pro and Oppo Reno 1st gen use periscope-style camera with 5X optical zoom.
The Reno 2 is expected to feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display, 4,065mAh battery with VOOC fast charging and more. The Reno 2 could be priced more than the 1st gen Reno which currently retails at Rs 32,999 for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant. The Reno 2 will be launched on August 28.
