Sonepur: The Sonepur district administration on Monday conducted raid at
the Anga river bank in Dunguripali block of Sonepur district and
seized seven tractors with sand.

Acting on a tip-off that the sand smugglers are quarrying for
sand in the river bed without permission, a team led by Agalpur
tehsildar carried out the raid and seized the vehicles. However, the
drivers of the concerned vehicles managed to escape from the spot.
Cases were registered against the owners of the tractors, official sources said.
