Mumbai: ‘Munjya’ actress Sharvari will soon be seen in Yash Raj Film’s much-awaited women-led action entertainer ‘Alpha’ along with Alia Bhatt.
Opening up on working with Alia in the film, Sharvari said it’s a dream come true for her.
“Just to share screen space with a superstar like Alia Bhatt has taught me so much that I’m actually itching to go on different sets and be able to use the kind of skills that I have seen or learned from her. It
was a dream come true for me as I got to understand her process and know her as a person,” Sharvari said in a conversation with Harper’s Bazaar.
“It’s an exciting time to be a part of this industry, especially because we are getting an opportunity to play such characters. For instance, Alpha is one such film, a first-of-its-kind in Indian cinema, an action entertainer led by women,” she added.
“If we don’t make the most of it now, then it would be a missed opportunity,” said Sharvari, who made her Bollywood debut in ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ in 2021.
‘Alpha’ also features Bobby Deol as the antagonist.
Talking about the film at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Alia said, “You’ve not historically seen that perform in the same way that the other male-led films have performed.”
The film is scheduled to be released on April 17, 2026.
