Bhubaneswar: As part of the efforts of Utkal University in Bhubaneswar to secure A++ rank, a team of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) visited the Anthropology department in the campus.
The 5-member team of the NAAC inspected the department to assess its quality and standards. They were taken on a tour to the cultural museum, biological laboratory and archaeology laboratory of the department.
The department’s head Kanhu Charan Satpathy, in a presentation before the team, outlined the ongoing research by its faculty and students. Besides, the team was informed about academic and related activities in the department.
The team was impressed by the publication of articles by the department’s faculty in newspapers. They also expressed satisfaction with the Anthropology department’s efforts in furthering the academic and research pursuits in its specialised fields.
