New Delhi: Fans and followers of Sushant Singh Rajput will be happy to hear this news: A stretch of road in south Delhi will be named after the late actor, who would have turned 35 on Thursday.
The civic body of Andrews Ganj has cleared a proposal, The Indian Express quoted officials as saying.
The South Delhi Municipal Corporation’s Congress councillor Abhishek Dutt had presented a proposal in September 2020 to rename the road after Sushant.
“It was cleared by the SDMC House in its meeting yesterday,” informed a senior official.
In his proposal, Dutt had mentioned that a large number of people living around Road No. 8 are from Bihar. He claimed that they had been demanding naming the stretch from Andrews Ganj to Indira Camp as Sushant Singh Rajput Marg. So he proposed that Road No. 8 be named after the actor in his memory.
Sushant was found dead in his Bandra residence in Mumbai on June 14 last year. Investigation into his death is still on.
