Amstelveen: Jos Buttler, who set the IPL on fire playing for Rajasthan Royals, was at it again on Friday – this time in the England jersey.
Buttler, batting at No. 4 in the opening ODI against the Netherlands, plundered 162 off only 70 balls with 7 fours and 14 sixes as England amassed 498/4 in their allotted 50 overs.
Dawid Malan (125) and Phil Salt (122) also helped themselves to centuries to help England erase their own record of 481/6, scored against Australia at Nottingham in 2018.
Interestingly, the top 3 ODI totals have all been recorded by England.
