Actor Amitabh Bachchan has been admitted to a Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital for regular check-up, according to sources, reports PTI. He was admitted on Tuesday leading to speculations among fans and various media organisations.
Initial reports suggested that the Megastar was hospitalized due to liver issues but there is no clarity on that, reports the Indian Express.
Amitabh was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday at 2 am, according to sources, reports the Times of India. Big B has been undergoing treatment for his liver ailment. The actor had contracted Hepatitis B while undergoing treatment for his near fatal accident in 1982.
Reports also say that the Bachchan family has been visiting the actor frequently and he has been kept in a special room equivalent to ICU. “It has been three days and nobody from the film industry has visited him yet, because most do not know about it,” claims Vickey Lalwani, Spotboye.
The Actor, though, shared two posts on twitter, on the occasion of Karwa Chauth on Thursday.
On work front, Amitabh’s upcoming projects are Brahmastra and Chehre. He is also hosting the ongoing season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.
