Mumbai: ‘Bigg Boss 19’ contestant Abhishek Bajaj, who keeps making headlines for his aggressive nature on the show, is also very pretentious, his ex-wife Akanksha Jindal has claimed.
Abhishek and Akanksha dated for a few years before tying the knot in 2017. However, the marriage didn’t last long when Akanksha discovered he was cheating on her and the two parted ways in 2020.
In an interview with Vickey Lalwani, Akanksha revealed that she and Abhishek were school friends, who reconnected at a reunion.
Their friendship blossomed into love and they became soulmates despite their parents’ objection in the beginning.
Opening up on what went wrong in the marriage, Akanksha said, “We were in a long-distance relationship, but whatever happened, it happened for the good. Everything just shattered. I was heartbroken, upset, and not in a happy state of mind. Things changed 360 degrees. I was unable to accept a lot of things; of course, he cheated, that was the breaking point. I am someone who reads between the lines. I could sense from his behaviour that our marriage would not work, and when I realised that, I walked out.”
“He was involved with a lot of girls. Many people from the industry actually spoke to me and showed me his reality. I found some screenshots and confronted him, but he played the victim card and tried to blame me. I was very studious and wanted to become a creator, but he said, ‘You are not allowed.’ He didn’t let me follow my ambitions and hobbies. He is very pretentious and has a very typical mindset. It has been six years since we separated, and I have forgiven him now,” she added.
Akanksha also alleged that Abhishek tried to stop her from pursuing a career and fulfil her ambitions.
Akanksha works as a Company Secretary at INJ Law Firm, and is also a social media influencer and content creator.
Akanksha went on to share an open letter on social media, stating that she decided to talk about her past only to share the truth, and not for sympathy or any monetary benefits.
Meanwhile, Abhishek is emerging as a strong contestant in the ‘Bigg Boss 19’ house.
He is safe from nominations this week, but his friends Ashnoor and Pranit are in danger, along with Nelaam Giri, Kunickaa Sadanand, Amaal Mallik, Zeishaan Quadri, Tanya Mittal, and Nehal Chudasama.
