Bhubaneswar: A day after entrepreneurs called for boycotting Tripti Dimri, alleging that she didn’t turn up for a FICCI event after accepting Rs 5 lakh for it, the ‘Animal’ actress Tripti denied the charge.
Tripti’s spokesperson said in an official statement that the actress “fully honoured” her professional commitments and never charged any money for attending any FICCI event.
The spokesperson further said that as per the contract, she is positively promoting her upcoming film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’, in which she stars along with Rajkummar Rao.
“During the ongoing promotional campaign for her film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Triptii Dimri fully honored her professional obligations, attending all scheduled events and sessions related to the film. Notably, she did not participate or commit to participate in any personal appearances or events beyond her promotional duties. It’s important to clarify that no additional fees or payments were accepted for her involvement in these activities,” read the statement.
The organisers of the FICCI FLO event, to be held in Jaipur, claimed that the actress had committed to attend the event as a guest but didn’t turn up despite accepting Rs 5 lakh from them.
The miffed female entrepreneurs shared a video on social media calling out Tripti for cancelling her visit at the last minute. They even said that they would be filing a police complaint against the actress. One among them was also seen blackening Tripti’s posters in the video.
