Actress Varsha & MP Anubhav Appear Before Odisha SCW In Marital Discord Case

Bhubaneswar: Ollywood actor-turned-MP Anubhav Mohanty and his actress wife Varsha Priyadarshini appeared before the Odisha State Commission for Women (OSCW) on Tuesday in connection with a case of marital discord.

Though the Commission has issued summon notice to the BJD MP along with her parents, only the parliamentarian deposed before it today. He was supposed to appear before the commission at 11 am today, but he reportedly missed the deadline and reached the office about 2.30 hours later.

According to sources, OSCW chairperson Minati Behera questioned the couple at the same time regarding the domestic violence case filed by Varsha. The questioning continued for around three hours.

Though Varsha reached the Commission’s office in the morning, Anubhav, who was summoned to come with his parents at the same time, appeared alone in the afternoon.

Varsha had moved Odisha State Commission for Women over her ongoing marital discord on December 15. She also filed a domestic violence case against Anubhav at Purighat police station in Cuttack on December 20. Police have registered a case the Kendrapada MP under Sections 498A, 341, and 506 of the IPC.
