Additional Tehsildar In Vigilance Net

Berhampur: Additional Tehsildar of Buguda Block in Odisha’s Ganjam district Dibakar Patra was arrested by the Vigilance sleuths on Friday.

Notably, a clerk of Buguda Block Office was recently caught red-handed by the Vigilance sleuths while accepting a bribe from a person. During interrogation of the clerk, the Vigilance officials came to know about the complicity of Behera in this case. Later, Behera was called up by the Vigilance SP Mayadhar Swain for interrogation.

To ascertain the veracity, a Vigilance team, led by the DSP Benudhar Nayak conducted simultaneous raid on Behera’s his official residence at Buguda, paternal house at Pandiripada in Buguda Block and his own house at Arabinda Nagar in Berhampur city in the morning.

During the raid, the Vigilance sleuths found Behera’s disproportionate property and arrested him.

He was later brought to Berhampur for interrogation.

Till reports last came in, the raid on Behera’s house in Berhampur city was still on.
