‘Adipurush’ Dialogue Writer Manoj Muntashir Gets Security Cover After Death Threat
Mumbai: ‘Adipurush’ has been doing good business since its release last week, having earned Rs 340 crore worldwide in three days, even as the controversies surrounding the film refuse to die.
The detractors have found some of the lines mouthed by the actors to be ‘distorting and disrespecting’ Ramayana while some felt the film hurt the sentiments of Hindu community.
The strong backlash forced the makers of the film to change some of the lines.
And now, Mumbai Police has provided security to dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla after he reported a threat to his life.
Mumbai Police is investigating the matter, reported ANI.
‘Adipurush’, a mythological tale based on Valmiki’s Ramayana, stars Prabhas as Raghav (Lord Ram), Kriti Sanon as Janki (Sita), Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh (Raavan) and Devdutta Nage as Bajrang (Hanuman).
The film is said to be on a massive budget of Rs 500 crore. Adipurush has been receiving negative reviews from critics and audiences alike. The makers have altered certain dialogues after backlash.
