Bhubaneswar: Admissions to Class XI, first year class of Higher Secondary Schools for the academic session 2019-20 in Odisha, will commence from June 6.
Principals of all Higher Secondary Schools have been requested to take all possible measures to complete the admission process within the stipulated timeline and ensure proper functioning of help desks in their institutions.
The advertisement was published for more than 1,600 Higher Secondary Schools (Plus-II) colleges in Odisha for various courses, including self-financing ones.
Students can apply online only. No form will be accepted offline. The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education has instructed applicants to read the Common Application Form (CAF) properly before filling it up.
According to the advertisement, the CAF will be available on the website www.samodisha.gov.in from 11am on June 6. Students can apply till June 20.
The first merit list and cutoff mark will be published on June 26. Eligible applicants can take admission from June 28 to July 2.
The second phase merit list will be published on July 8. Admission of those in the second merit list will take place from July 9 to 11.
Spot admissions will take place from July 20 to 22.
As Matric results were published late in Odisha this year, the admission procedure also started late. Last year, the admission procedure had started from June 1.
