Bhubaneswar: The process for admissions to classes I to VIII in all government schools in Odisha for the 2021-22 session will begin on Tuesday.
The School and Mass Education Department has directed the District Education Officers (DEOs), Block Education Officers (BEOs), and District Project Officers (DPCs) to ensure that the admission is held in strict adherence with the COVID-19 guidelines.
“New admission into Elementary/Secondary classes is to be completed by May 31, 2021,” read the order.
The officials have been asked to direct the school authorities to inform the guardians through WhatsApp of the Siksha Sanjog about the date of admission.
According to the order, the admission process will be conducted during the morning session from 7 am to 9.30 am on all working days.
To avoid large congregations, schools have been asked to allow a maximum of five guardians inside the premises at one time.
