The Indian Air Force has announced the date of the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2020 for courses commencing in January 2021.
The online application will be available from December 1-30, 2019. A total of 249 vacancies will be filled through the AFCAT entry.
The courses will commence in January 2021 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch & Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches.
Age:
A. Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as on January 1, 2021 i.e. born between January 2, 1997 and January 1, 2001 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable by up to 26 years i.e. born between January 2, 1995 and January 1, 2001 (both dates inclusive).
B. Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years as on January 1, 2021 i.e. born between January 2, 1995 and January 1, 2001 (both dates inclusive)

Conduct of Online Test For AFCAT Examination and Fee Structure:
The online test for entrance to AFCAT will be conducted at various centres. Candidates will have to pay Rs. 250 as examination fee. However, those registering for NCC special entry are not required to pay. Details of the examination centres and mode of payment are available in the notification.

According to the advertisement, information filled up by the candidates in the online application form will be considered final and no amendments will be allowed subsequently. Candidates should exercise due care while entering their date of birth.
