New Delhi: Hours after Donald Trump survived a possible assassination attempt, Elon Musk revealed that two attempts had been made on his life in the last eight months.
Musk’s experiences came to light after an X user voiced concerns about the safety of the billionaire CEO of Tesla in the wake of the attack on the former US President.
“Please, please triple your protection. If they can come for Trump they will also come for you,” the X user wrote.
Musk’s reply was: “Dangerous times ahead. Two people (separate occasions) have already tried to kill me in the past 8 months. They were arrested with guns about 20 mins drive from Tesla HQ in Texas.”
Musk, also the owner of X Corp. and head of SpaceX, previously expressed concern that he could be killed any moment.
Accusing reporters of sharing his real-time location, Musk had banned their X accounts saying that they had given “basically assassination coordinates”.
Musk’s strict action came as journalists used a now-banned X account @ElonJet to publicly make available flight records on where Musk’s private jet was flying.
The world’s richest man was also threatened by former Russian space agency chief Dmitry Rogozin over supply of Starlink satellite internet service to Ukraine.
