Mumbai: Mukesh Khanna’s Indian superhero series ‘Shaktimaan’ has been making headlines for quite some time now.
Recently, the veteran actor got trolled when he teased fans with a trailer of the superhero series, hinting at its comeback.
Now, Mukesh has raked up a controversy by calling ‘A Flying Jatt’ actor Tiger Shroff a child, who is unfit for portraying the superhero character.
“Forgive me, but if Tiger Shroff tells a child to flush the toilet as Shaktimaan, the kid will turn around and say to him, ‘Tu baith jaa (Sit down)’. He is still a child among children, that’s his image. He doesn’t have the stature that one needs to play Shaktimaan, who had a gravity not because of me, but because of the character that he is. Shaktimaan isn’t a brainless brawler. He has a seriousness, he is wise. He is an evolved person, for God’s sake,” Mukesh told ABP Live.
The 66-year-old actor further stated that Shaktimaan is not like ‘an ordinary’ Arnold Schwarzenegger or beloved superheroes Iron Man and Superman.
Mukesh had earlier rejected the idea of Ranveer Singh essaying the role of Shaktimaan.
Mukesh set the record straight by stating that Ranveer can never be his choice for Shaktimaan as the actor’s 2022 nude photoshoot for a magazine ruined his image.
