After Jagannath Dham, PM Modi’s Estranged Wife Visits Lingaraj Temple In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A day after having  darshan of Lord Jagannath and His siblings on Adapa Mandap of Gudicha Temple in Puri, Jashodaben, estranged wife of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, visited Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.

Jashodaben is being accompanied by her brother Ashok Modi. Sovaniya Andolan Director Arundhati Debi was also with her during her visit to the 11th-century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

After a night halt at Circuit House there, she went to the Gundicha Temple on Tuesday morning for the last day of darshan of the deities on Adapa Mandap (i.e. Sesha Darshan on Nabami) at Gundicha Mandir, which is popularly called Sandhya Darshan.

Meanwhile, the three chariots, carrying Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, rolled down the Grand Road around 1 pm, 3 hours ahead of the schedule, as the sibling deities embarked on homeward journey to Srimandir after the nine-day annual sojourn on Wednesday.

After reaching the 12th-century shrine, three deities will spend the night on the chariots where all the rituals will be performed. They will appear in ‘Sunabesha’ (gold attire) for darshan of the devotees the following day.

After the ‘Aadhar Pana’ (a special drink) ritual on June 30, the deities will enter Jagannath Temple in ‘Niladri Bije’ which will mark the end of Rath Yatra, on July 1
