Mumbai: After playing the much-loved negative character of Manjulika in the Kartik Aaryan blockbuster ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2,’ Tabu will be seen in another horror comedy ‘Bhooth Bangla’, starring Akshay Kumar in the lead.
Tabu took to her Instagram handle to reveal her new project by dropping a photo of the clapperboard and wrote, “Hum yahan bandh hain.”
As per reports, Tabu has already started shooting for ‘Bhooth Bangla’ in Jaipur.
‘Bhooth Bangla’ producer Ektaa Kapoor welcomed Tabu on board for the film by posting, “Aaapka swaaagat hai always an honour tabu mam.”
Fans are elated to see Tabu and Akshay teaming up onscreen after almost two decades.
A section of netizens suggested that ‘Bhooth Bangla’ will be a crossover between Manjulika from ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ and Dr Aditya Srivastava (played by Akshay Kumar) from ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’.
“Manjulika meeting Dr Aditya Shrivastava” wrote a user.
Another commented, “full bhul bhulaiya 1 wali wibes also priyadarshan sir direction” and “the Dream Cast… I think its Real Next Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2nd Part”.
Historic places of Rajasthan will add a hauntingly impressive backdrop to the film, it was learnt.
Directed by Priyadarshan, bankrolled by Balaji Telefilms, Cape of Good Films, and co-produced by Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali, the film is slated to release on April 2, 2026.
