Bengaluru: The Opposition is in no mood to let up the pressure on Election Commission of India (ECI) and demand for resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar over alleged manipulation of electoral rolls under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.
Days after a ‘public impeachment’ of Gyanesh at a mock Parliament in Delhi, the INDIA bloc held a state-level protest at Bengaluru’s Freedom Park, where party workers enacted ‘arrest’ of Gyanesh as part of the demonstration.
One of the protesters was seen in a Gyanesh Kumar mask, wearing khaki shorts. The handcuffed ‘CEC’ was paraded through the streets on Wednesday alongside a man dressed as a police officer.
