Mumbai: After Ranveer Singh’s exit from Farah Akhtar’s ‘Don 3’, there were rumours that the makers are in talks with Hrithik Roshan to play Don in the third instalment of the franchise.
Now, reports suggest that Shah Rukh Khan, the original Don of ‘Don’ and ‘Don 2’, is ready to return to the franchise, but with a condition — ‘Jawan’ director Atlee will have to direct him.
“Following the massive success of Jawan which also earned Shah Rukh Khan his first National Award — the actor is reportedly keen to collaborate with the filmmaker once again, trusting his vision to present him in a compelling and impactful avatar,” the report stated.
Before Ranveer’s exit, lead actress Kiara Advani and antagonist Vikrant Massey had also quit the film due to unknown reasons.
Following Kiara’s exit, the makers roped in Kriti Sanon to play the female lead in the film.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film ‘King’. Helmed by SRK’s ‘Pathaan’ director Siddharth Anand, ‘King’ also features Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi and Anil Kapoor in key roles.
