Mumbai: Aneet Padda, who became an overnight sensation after the release of her debut film ‘Saiyaara’ last year, may now replace Kiara Advani in the biopic of legendary actress Madhubala.
A Hindustan Times report had earlier suggested that Kiara was in talks to play the lead role in the biopic, to be directed by Jasmeet K Reen of ‘Darlings’ fame.
However, a Filmfare report has now claimed that Aneet has been signed to play the female lead in the biopic of Madhubala.
Reacting to the news, one fan claimed, “Far better than kiara.”
Another gushed, “perfect choice. she CAN ACT and she looks like her too.. at least closest.”
However, a section of netizens believes that Aneet is not the right choice for the project.

Another person opined, “Noooo, please such a Misfit As much as I love that girl and her face card, it’s just not for her.”
One group of fans believes that neither Kiara nor Aneet is fit for the role, they want ‘Animal’ actress Triptii Dimri to play Madhubala.
One Reddit user stated, “From the new lot only one I can see maybe pulling this off is Tripitii maybe…she has that innocence and acting in her.”
Another agreed. “Feel like she can – Triptii can act with her eyes and hold the frame even in silence… The acting with eyes is rare and I feel like it’s a requirement to portray Madhubala. With Madhubala, it’s all about the eyes and the pain, joy and emotions they hold.”
One person commented, “Nah not Aneet, but Tripti Dimri would be perfect for Madhubala biopic.”
Aneet has reportedly replaced Kiara in Maddock Horror Comedy Universe’s upcoming film ‘Shakti Shalini’.
