Mumbai: Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is returning to Indian cinema with ‘Varanasi’ after a hiatus of 6 years, might be starring in ‘Don 3’ and ‘Krrish 4’ also.
Reacting to the buzz, Priyanka, during a recent interview said, she cannot divulge any details about her future projects, thereby hinting at the possibility of her return to the franchises.
“I don’t know if I can talk about either of them at all,” she was quoted as saying by ScreenRant.
To this, her ‘Varanasi’ co-star Mahesh Babu quipped, “Then there’s somethi
ng happening.”
The actress added that she is open to revisit characters and franchises that offer a strong storyline.
Previously, Priyanka had starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the 2006 film ‘Don’.
While ‘Don 3’ was initially announced with Ranveer Singh as the lead, later reports suggested that the actor has walked out of the project and SRK is in talks to play the lead.
On the other hand, speculation around Priyanka’s role in ‘Krrish 4’ intensified after Hrithik Roshan was seen spending time with the actress and her husband, Nick Jonas, in the US.
Meanwhile, talking about her upcoming film ‘Varanasi’, Priyanka added, “This (Varanasi) is the first one that I’m doing after, like, almost six years in India, and just coming back.”
In the film that follows Rudhra (played by Mahesh Babu), who is on a globe-spanning time-travel mission to recover a powerful cosmic artefact, Priyanka essays the role of Mandakini.
