Mumbai: Just before the release of ‘Ikkis’ in theatres on January 1, a special screening of the film was held for the members of the film industry and Arun Khetarpal’s family.
In the film, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda plays Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient in history.
After the special screening, Arun’s brother Mukesh Khetarpal admitted that the film made him relive special moments and left him crying.
He further praised Agastya for stepping into the shoes his late brother and said, the actor will remain Arun for life.
Speaking with the film’s director Sriram Raghavan, Mukesh said, “My grouse is you made me cry. You made me relive… Certain things were in my mind, and moment by moment, when I saw it on screen, I got so emotional I couldn’t stop crying. Now that I have seen the movie, I mean, the movie is 10 times or maybe 20 times or 100 times what we see in the trailer. Oh, fantastic!”
“Whatever else you are, you will be Arun for life. There is no taking that away from you. Well done!” Mukesh told Agastya.
