Bhubaneswar: Air India will launch a direct flight from Bhubaneswar to Surat from January 1, 2020, BJP leader and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi tweeted on Thursday.
The flight will operate three days a week, she added.
Sarangi said she and Surat MP Darshana Jardosh had met Union Civil Aviation minister Hardeep Singh on July 22 and requested him to start a direct flight between Surat and Bhubaneswar.
The MP also thanked the Prime Minister and Union Civil Aviation Minister for granting her request to commence the flight.
