New Delhi: Amid confusion about air travel and quarantine, Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Saturday clarified that domestic passengers with green status on Aarogya Setu app and no symptoms will not be quarantined.
“We have clarified that if anyone has the Aarogya Setu app, it’s like a passport and you are safe, why should anybody want any quarantine,” Hardeep Singh Puri said in a Facebook live session.
International passengers, however, will be quarantined for 14 days, the minister said.
Passengers will be guided to a counter where the app can be downloaded in case they do not have it. If for some reason, the app can’t be installed, then the passenger can give a self-declaration form.
Domestic flights are set to resume from May 25 in a phased manner.
