Bhubaneswar: Prof Amiya Kumar Rath has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) in Bhubaneswar.
As per a Odisha government notification, Governor Ganeshi Lal, who is the Chancellor of universities, has appointed Prof Rath as the VC of BPUT for five years. He will hold the office for the period from the date he assumes office or until further orders.
At present, Prof Rath serves as the Advisor of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in Bangalore. He has 33 years of teaching experiences and has authored nine books.
