It is a win-win situation for Akshay Kumar all the way. Not only has he figured in the Forbes’ list of 10 highest-paid actors, he has also topped the Mood of the Nation (MOTN) poll carried out by India Today for being the only actor who can deliver a Rs 100 crore film after the lockdown.
He is the only Bollywood star in the top 10 of Forbes’ list, landing in the sixth place with earnings of $48.5 million. Most of his income came from product endorsements, Forbes said.
Akshay topped the MOTN poll for the first time after tying with Salman Khan for the top spot in the last edition in January, India Today reported.
Kumar has fared well in the past six months. His name has not figured in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case and he continues to be the busiest actor of the lot, India Today said. He’ll be the first star to return to work, shooting for a film in the UK from August.
His ‘Sooryavanshi’ is awaiting a theatrical release, while his ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ will be released on the digital platform.
