Mumbai: Ahead of the ‘Bigg Boss 18’ grand finale, reports suggested that Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan will be appearing together in a segment of the show.
However, this never happened as Akshay left the sets of the show without shooting because Salman was late for the shoot.
As reports of Akshay leaving the sets started doing the rounds, the actor now stepped forward to clear the air.
Akshay, who was in Delhi to promote his upcoming film ‘Sky Force’, shared that he had other work commitments because of which he had to leave the Bigg Boss 18 sets without shooting.
The actor also said that he had informed Salman before leaving the sets, as the latter was stuck with some personal work and couldn’t make it for the shoot on time.
“I was running late for something. I spoke to Salman and he was stuck with something personal. He told me that he would be late by around 40 minutes. But I had to leave because I had a prior commitment,” said Akshay.
Meanwhile, a source told Hindustan Times that Akshay had test screenings for his upcoming film ‘Jolly LLB’ 3 and that’s why he left without shooting.
“Being as punctual as he is, Akshay turned up on the set for his shoot at the scheduled time, around 2.15 pm. But Salman hadn’t come by then. Akshay waited an hour for Salman to come, but he had a trial screening of Jolly LLB 3 in his schedule. Thus, after waiting for an hour, Akshay returned without even shooting for the show,” a source told HT City.

Earlier, Salman Khan had also addressed the rumours and stated that Akshay left without shooting as he had other work commitments.
“Akki (Akshay Kumar) is also in the film. I got a little late, and he had to leave for another function, so he left,” said Salman, while promoting Akshay’s film ‘Sky Force’ with Veer Pahariya on Bigg Boss 18 finale.
